Paramount Skydance Plans to Remove Around 2,000 American Positions – News

Paramount Skydance will initiate large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 positions in the United States within a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn under CEO David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August with a value of $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance intending to reveal all specifics in its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports had indicated that Paramount aimed to cut from 2,000 to 3,000 roles by early November.

By December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 project-based staff.

The company has not yet commented on the matter.
